MEET DAVID… THE FOUNDER OF DETAIL MY CAR CANADA
David Buckingam, founder and owner of Detail My Car, always had a passion for cars. His love
for them developed at a young age, going back to when he worked on cars with his dad, who
was a mechanical engineer. When he was 16, he worked at a private golf course, washing
members’ clubs and carts.
One day, a club member asked him to clean and detail his luxury car, an Aston Martin that is, for an upcoming show. David did an impeccable job, and word began to spread. Soon, he found himself taking time off work to detail vehicles. It was from then he knew he was going to open up his own business, and this is how Detail My Car was born.

Some of our projects have definitely been out of the ordinary. We’re often asked what’s the biggest vehicle we’ve coated.
Well, it wasn’t a vehicle per se, it was a 47’ long Bonateau Sail Boat – a whopping 500+ square feet of paint correction and ceramic coating!

Additionally, we ceramic coat hundreds of golf carts every year at various private golf courses like Credit Valley, Maple Downs and RattleSnake, to name a few.
