APPROACH
Prep work cannot be stressed enough. Believe it or not, installing the coating is the easiest part of the entire process. Every vehicle manufacturer uses different paints. In general, Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz tend to use hard paint, whereas Porsche and GM use a more soft paint. The preparation process is definitely not a one size fits all approach – it requires deep understanding of paint correction, without compromising the paint job. Our knowledge is what sets us apart.
Our team has spent many years working in collaboration with dealerships to paint correct their trade-ins and pre-owned stock. We’ve got extensive experience in ceramic coating just about every vehicle brand. We are confident we can bring any vehicle’s paint job back to showroom condition, and keep it that way with Opti-Coat Ceramic Coating.

Wash and Decontamination
Decontamination removes all particles like rail dust, fallout, or other
everyday elements that can stick to your vehicle’s clear coat. This is
an important step since we do not want to install Opti-Coat over any
dust or debris. -
Scratch Removal and Paint Rejuvenation
Sealing imperfect paint would be pointless. We use products
specifically made to remove scratches and correct your vehicle’s
paint - returning it to its original, shiny condition. -
Strip the Vehicle
It’s important to completely remove wax, oils or any remnants of
product from your vehicle’s surface. Basically, it should be
“squeaky clean” to ensure Opti-Coat will adhere to it seamlessly. -

together to create superior, high-quality thickness, unlike any

STANDS BEHIND OPTI-COAT
- Opti-Coat is the only coating made from Silicon Carbide (SiC and is exclusively produced in the USA, where there are over 400 certified installers. All other coatings are made from Silicon Dioxide (SiO2) – a significantly dated technology, produced in China, Taiwan, etc...
- While the names may not seem that different from each other, you would have to freshen up your SiO2 coating once or twice a year, since the coating sits atop the vehicle paint, much like wax.
- Conversely, SiC coatings bond to your vehicle’s clear coat permanently so your paint can maintain its original flexibility, and reduces scratches and chips from everyday hazards.

Our entire team completed training and certification at the Opti-Coat
Head Office down in Memphis in March of 2016. Since
then, Detail My Car has installed around 200 coatings per year. -
Essentially, they work on an older vehicle, buff out every single
scratch and remove all traces of paint oxidation, bringing the
vehicle’s paint back to its original state before sealing it with
Opti-Coat. -
There is a lot of prep work that must be done before installing
Opti-Coat Ceramic coating. Our installers undergo rigorous
training which involves correcting a vehicle’s black paint back
to showroom condition.
